The Newest One

Artwork, one piece at a time.

Hi - I'm M.Willis, an artist working in Boston, Mass. As I work, things get left behind - sketches, studies, ideas that haven't solidified or are destined to be re-used or even destroyed as they become a part of something else. It's a normal part of the process - my process, anyway - but sometimes it's discouraging to see interesting things evolve away, like they never existed. Sometimes this transitional stuff is worth of remembering.

That's where this site comes in. Often, it will feature a limited print run of a piece that doesn't exist anymore (at least, not in the form you'll see here). Featured pieces might also be smaller works, studies, or exist virtually (like art that uses software as a part of the creation process). Sometimes, I'll use the space to try out new ideas I'm working on.

Pieces will be featured one at a time, as they happen. Studio viewings (in Charlestown, Mass.) may be arranged by request. The listed price includes the piece as described, all packaging and shipping costs, and a signed note from the artist. Purchasers will be contacted immediately so shipping arrangements can be made. I'll be playing around with things, so don't hesitate to get in touch.
